Its very easy...... Find someone who can tune your specific ride and get in good with them..........

AFTER EVERY MOD THAT ADJUST YOU AIR/FUEL RATIO YOU WILL NEED A TUNE. that is the safest way to think whether it is true or not in certain situations. Some mods may not require a tune right away, however if you just think like me and just tune it no matter what you will never go wrong, you will get the most out of your mods, and you engines will stay alive longer than planned.

When should you get your car tuned ?

This actually one of the best questions anyone could ask. I believe alot of people confuse this topic. A lot of people either don't think they need one or just don't know they need one. A tune should be had after every mod you do to you Car. Like Justin said Tune and Log often. Logging especially to learn your car's breathing pattern and tuning to dial it in. Get the most out of your mods from tuning and see what your mods are doing for your car from loggin.......

You dont really need your car tuned intill you do more than boltons, or its a factory turbo car.
your factory ecu has enough safeguards in it to keep it safe.

On a N/A car if you go with cams, higher compression, injectors you will need to have the car tuned.

On a F/I car even an intake and exhaust can make the car too lean, its not likely but possible. Any time you mod a boosed car you need to install a Wideband A/F gauge. I like to see Boosted cars @ 12.5-1 A/F ratio or lower.
As soon as you get into installing boost controlers, wastegates and other things to get the boost up you need the car tuned either with Engine management or some kind of piggy back system like a Apex-i Neo

Well I say always get tunes, even though it won't hurt it, its is always good so you dial in your well spent money. A lot of mods you can just disconnect your battery to reset your ecu, but thats just a stepping stone to the real tune.
