EXOTIC OR.....NOT!?!

:Protest:Ok car hungry humans!! I have a question that has been on my mid all day....Literally!:Protest:

Exotic This Exotic That......What makes an Exotic an...... Exotic?

Is it personal opinion?

Is it Price value?

Is it Power class?

Is it Power and Price?

Is it because its rare?

Or is it something else?

Reason i ask is because I do not believe they consider the Evo:mitsu: an Exotic. Correct me if Im wrong, but they don't. I do not know why, because I can compare the Evo:mitsu: with some of the "Exotics" out there now. For example Gallardo stock running 12's Evo:mitsu: stock running 12-13 depending on driver. I also witnessed a video of a J-spec Evo 8 out performing a Lambo on a Road Course. Also the Evo:mitsu: pretty much has the same 0-60 as most exotics if not better.

And no, I don't consider the Porsche an exotic.

sorry not everything over 100k is exotic, if that were true most upper end BMWz an MERCz would be exotic, when most sane ppl just say they are luxury. an exotic car is something not seen everyday in most major citys, which is why i have to say this...in no way shape or form will a civic, miata, 240, or any other base model economy cars can ever be a exotic.

:lol: I'm definitely not hating on Porsche. Just saying that (and even by your definition) most of them are not exotics... I see boxsters and caymans all day every day as long as the weather is decent (and this is in Salt Lake too... where your so-called high-end luxury cars are few and far between). I see 911s quite a bit too... Not many Turbos, GT3s or GT2s, or Carrera GTs though... Hence over 100k = exotic.

But that only works in my city, as I imagine you're right, there are probably more M6s etc in the larger cities.

HELL even Hyundai is coming out with the Genesis as their "fast car" I would say most every manufacturer has an exotic.

Ford has the GT and GT40
Dodge has the Viper
Plymouth has the Prowler
Honda and Acura have the NSX
Toyota has the Supra and the GT One
Nissan has the Skyline and the GTR
Pontiac has the GTO
Chevy has the Corvette
Hummer has a box on wheels
Scion has a box on wheels
Mitsubishi has the EVO
Subaru has the STI


There are also many brands like BMW, Lambo, Mercedes, Ferrari, Bugatti, Bentley, Renault, Porsche, etc.

Every company has their signature car.

I can only imagine. I know of a Dodge Neon with a Ferrari exhaust. Sounds like a tired lawn mower.

Anyways. I also like the Bugati Veyron, but honestly I would rather stick to normal cars. Less expensive to maintain.

While your last line about signature cars works... In no way EVER should the Prowler, the H1, 2, or 3, or ANY of the Scions be considered exotics... Signature cars, sure, exotics, hell no.
