Did you all know the Evo needs the DP wrapped with fiberglass wrap right around the oil pan? If not the exhaust will heat up the oil, cutting its life in half. That is why after changing it, a week later its almost black

never knew that. so i should use some exhaust wrap on my perrin dp?

Yes you should, it will increase the oil life of your oil but a huge amount.....the heat from the DP boils(for lack of better words) the oil, breaking the lubricating agents down.
