OOPS!!!! Need help again

Ok the car wpnt start now! everything powers up, and I even get a pumping(electric motor sound) sound from the fuel pump area. HELP!!! No codes, no clicking, no tapping, just a motorized sound from the back seat.

hahah first and formost... this isnt implieing your retarded but is your battery charged...


next check all ur important fuses.... motor fuese all that stuff under the hood.. use a what the hells it called ampometer.. i forget and check the mojor fuses to see if there all fine... since there black and u cant see in...

then report back...

the simplest solution is ussually the fix...

mojor huh? Ok Ill go check them out.... also I assumed my battery was fine when i saw everything power up when I turned the key.

on a seperate note:

i also remember hearing the evap canister hissing when its running. Anyone have a picture of where this is.....

ok this is a start......starter relay is where chuck!......any idea on where to get a cheap starter to test to see if its that?

Starter relay switch is just off the starter... follow the power wire off the starter and it should be just along that...

ok i really need to get to the bottom of this before i go putting another sensor in. What is going on in my motor that is making this sensor blows?

Its the Crank shaft sensor A.

is the car turning over at all? try hitting the starter with a hammer and then try again (if its not turning over.

lol funny you should say that, I got my father in law involved and he brought a hammer with him for that reason....as soon as we got out of his car I hopped in the evo and it started right up...like it was scared of the hammer lol now it won't turn over at all like before......I will try the hammer trick tonite or morning...how hard do I hit it?...

hit it pretty good, just trying to get the wheel from sticking. If that does the trick you should prolly buy a new starter.

but im throwing a crankshaft position sensor code...so im just going to replace that sensor.......I have been told if it gets really gunky down there then it will blow the sensor.......

Yeah if that sensor goes it will crank over but it will not start.

I'm trying to remember. About 5 years ago I had to change a starter relay on a 2g. IIRC the starter relay is under the dash on the (I want to say driver, maybe pass) side panel connected to the center council. Where the ecu is at.

Take this with a grain of salt it was 5 years ago man.

The crank position sensor will cause it not to start, but it will still turn over.

hey dapper.....what is with all this oil on the crank side of the motor and inside my rim, and wheel well? What is over there that would leak oil?

if so your oil filer unit.. which has alot of lil things that could leak.. get under there and make sure everything is tight

yeah lots of shit can leak over there, front seal, head gasket, valve cover gasket ect....

take your starter off and take it up to the autoparts store and they can test it... its only two 14mm bolts holding it on.

start with simple things first

edit**** if your looking for your crank sensor you dont need to pull any power steering stuff off.

but if it was the crank sensor the car would still crank fine, it just wouldnt start.

well CBRD has it now.....Im growing more pissed by the day. They do not return phone calls, emails, and they aren't very informative. For someone who claims to be good and for someone who says they have raced and built evo, this company seems to show the opposite. 100 dollars an hour and they still have my car...........week an a half so far.........

Like i said! Just because a shop is clean doesnt mean they do good work!

There work load is high so they pushed you to the side bro..

i had discussed with Chad getting my clutch put in there and he said i would need to leave it for 3 days!!
i was upset so went elsewhere.. DTM in viginia is where its at.. Excellent work and $500 and same day VS 750 and 3 days..

OK here is an update:

I have spoken with Chad, and he said it was my Balancer Shaft that blew up, and broken my belt, ruined my timing belt and idler. Destroyed my Crank Shaft sensor. My CV boot is fine.

I now need a timing belt, balancer belt, idler belt, crank sensor. The bill keep going up and up lol........
