Hello, My name is Josh. I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Evo 8. I will be getting my motor back from the machine shop hopefully tomorrow. I have it bored .40 over, eagle rods, cp pistons, full race port and polished head, ferrera valve springs retainers clips, 1mm oversized intake and exhaust valves, hks 272 intake and exhaust cams, fidanza cam gears, fidanza flywheel, act heavy duty street clutch kit, mishimoto fmic, hks intake, meagan header, full 3in hks carbon exhaust, full exhaust wrapped, avid solid motor mounts, weapon r oil catch can, eibach springs, short shifter, and prolly some other stuff i cant think of. Stock turbo still. Before build i was putting 334awhp 326awtq. But hopefully ill have it up and running in a day or two. Im also on EvoM too.

I got the motor in the evo tonight!!!!! Solid motor mounts are a biatch to get in. Pretty much left with the exhaust system, turbo, battery, intake and intercooler piping, and hoses and oil/coolant. Yeah ill let you know when i want the tails, prolly the 1st of oct. Thanks SJ

Hey Mike! I don't break my car, I just make sure all the parts that are not working right come out and say they are not work right. I fix it, everytime I pay someone to fix it I end up finishing the job myself....

Okay Sorry again for no video but it has been raining horribly the past couple of days. I just changed the oil today at work at 500 miles. Everything is good so far. After 3K miles im putting royal purple in everything!! Hopefully ill get some nice weather this weekend and ill wash it and make a video. Its not looking good weatherwise for the next couple of days.

Okay so i am stuck at work for 24hours and i decided to spend some money since today is payday for me.:headbang2: I went to STMDSM.com and i got their fuel package with the walbro, fpr, guage, fuel lines, fittings and i also got the aeromotive high flow fuel rail. I already have upgraded injectors. I also got the ams mini battery kit. So i should get that soon and then im going to the dyno after 2K more miles.

Hey everyone, Here is the video. Sorry it took so long. Ill be going to the dyno with in the weeks or two. I went to a meet tonight. There were 4 others. One guy had a fully built motor and upgraded turbo and one guy was pretty much stock. There was another that had upgraded ams turbo, fmic, piping, stock internals, and tein coilovers. I think he had the gt35 turbo. But there were about 100 different cars and only 5 evos. Haha mine looked the worst exterior wise. Youll see in the video. I plan on getting the hood painted hot pink..... just kiddin black. and i should be getting a new headlight this week. along with my fuel stuff!! I got upgraded intercooler piping. i was only able to put the lower one on due to the stock battery being the size of an oven. haah but im getting the mini battery kit this week too. But here is the video. Enjoy.

Thanks guys. I got it from mishimoto.com. It was 340 when i bought it. It has the same cfm ,1250, as the ams intercooler but half the price. I had to make the mounting brackets for it. You can make the stock intercooler pipes fit up to it and the aftermarket i have just put my lower intercooler pipe in right now cause im waiting on the mini battery but the lower one slid in like it was ment toe be there. yeah i think ill get the radiator from them too

Definately. Still waiting on newer headlights. I just need to switch out the lenses and ill be good to go. Still waiting on the fuel package and the mini battery too. Does anyone know the stock fuel pressure?

Ill put up a video soon so you guys can hear what the exhaust sounds like with it fully wrapped. I noticed a huge difference. Sorry i dont have a before video. I noticed that there isnt much interior noise anymore except for the cams lopeing but wrapping the exhaust made the noise channel toward the back of the exhaust and i really cant hear it unless my radio is turned off and my back right window is down. But ill try and get it up tomorrow.

Its exhaust wrap. Its made to keep the heat inside the exhaust where it is supposed to be. I guess if you keep the heat inside the exhaust it is supposed to provide you with more power or something. I cant remember the technical side of it. It is kinda like fiberglass but its made out of ceramic. so wear rubber gloves and a long sleeve shirt. Cause it itches.:eek: But it also acts as a sound deadening. DEI makes it and also Cool it thermo tec makes it. It comes in 50ft rolls either 1in or 2in wide. I used the one inch on my header and 2in on my downpipe back. And DEI makes this spray silicone that you sparay onto it to keep the heat from getting through the wrap also. I still need to use that on my header. But the wrap is flame proof and the spray is rated at i think 1500 degrees. When I did my header it took me about 2 hours to do it cause i wanted to make sure i got every spot on it. The exhaust only took about 45 minutes or so. They also make these quick straps. But i just used hose clamps.I can try and get pictures to put up tomorrow.

Hey there, Yes i like the mishimoto intercooler. I had to custom make the mounting brackets. But it all worked out and is straight. But tonight i got my small battery kit in and i got some helix intercooler pipes installed. I got the intercooler pipes of a guy from evo m. they were a little banged up so i painted them. Not sure if i will stick with the colors but ill have some pictures up soon. The mishimoto intercooler has the same cfm as the ams intercooler and is about half the price. But i need to get a tune so i can see how much of a difference it made.

I only used two 50 ft rolls. One for the header and one for the dwonpipe back. The down pipe was already wrapped. I used the 2in wide wrap on the back downpipe back and 1in on the header.

It didnt fit in there that good. I tried fitting the intercooler pipes as soon as i got them and they just wouldnt fit right. And the upper one rubbed on the battery pretty close to the positive terminal. So i decided to just get teh small one. It frees up a lot of room.

Ok so i found out a couple of things today. 1. The place i ordered the fuel pump from sent me the wrong one and of course you wouldn't be able to find that out with out taking the pump that is already in the tank out. 2. There was already a walbro in my car. but it looked pretty bad so i think im still gonna replace it after i get a new one and keep the one that was already in there for back up. 3. Aparantly i dont know how to hook up the fuel pressure regulator haha. so if anyone had better directions than the ones that came with it then please let me know. 4. The high flow aeromotive fuel rail looks bad ass and in comparison to the stock one it is a way better fuel rail because if you look into the stock one there is a very small amount of fuel that is let inside of it. 5. after working on my car for about 10 hours i am tired as F@c%.

no clear coat. Just sanded my pipes down really good and light coats until it was good and shiny.
