The KA24DE-T is now up and running!! It just needs some idle control and we're good!!! at a whopping 4PSI out of a GT30R turbo i can notice HUGE power gain. oil pan is leaking, will be fixed before the ride to PA from FL.

ok, so the Vortech FMU works perfect! It had me nervous, and so did everybody talking about nightmare situations with it. the car runs good, spools good, just stalls out when i push in the clutch coming down from 1800 or higher RPMs. DO NOT USE GRAY RTV SILICONE FOR YOUR OIL PAN GASKET!!! My oil pan is leaking like a stuck pig right now. i'm about to pull it off again tonight and use the black permatex stuff. The kit that i got is phenomenal (don't know if i spelled that right). Everything bolted right up...including the GT30R Precision Turbo that's on there. It is very "streetable" as the turbo does not really start to spool until @3400 rpms. Also, recircing the BOV on the KA motor is a really good idea. mine is atmospheric and that may also be why the car is shutting down/stalling. the Tial .38mm wastegate that came with it has a spring rate for 4psi. so the TurboXS manual boost controller is in line to turn it up to 7-8psi. Also, no bumper mod needed!!!

you just did it wrong the gray stuff it far superior to the junk black stuff

thats what you need, its great, or go to honda and pick up some Hondabond same stuff but i get it for free, lol



any way you get that thing squared away yet or what?

well, too late. i blew it up.......just kidding. i used the black stuff. got good reviews from other ka24 owners. this time no cork gasket. just luquid gasket. i'm letting it cure over night, and should be ready to run tomorrow.

naw i'm just playing...

i don't condone/ wish bad luck on anyone, because i've seen plenty of friends with cars that are down, and it just all around sucks no matter what way you put it.

so how is the 240 the aka real car that isnt a "real car" in my opinion anyways. :)

well it's like this. it just is a real car...RWD baby. RWD is my new found love. it's becoming more and more fun. starting to slide a little bit more and learning how to control it better. i just know that i will beat up on SJ in the near future....especially if his clutch doesn't get fixed sometime soon.

hey no rob be nice... how would u like us to pick on you for something like that. i had clutch issues last year and i'm have issues now that i just dont even wanna talk or think about right now... urgh.

and yes rwd is loads of fun. i was just driving a rwd last night and has some fun. yeah there badass and all and yes telling your 240 is a "real car" but there are others out there that are still "real cars" too

awww tina, you have a heart of gold. SJ throws the trash talk around just as much as me so yell at him too. and if i was in PA i would probably be helping him replace that clutch. like i said about mitsu's, always something wrong. do you need help with it? speaking of something wrong...my whole power steering system is taking a huge shit right now. but it is 13 years old and does have 167,000 miles on it, so it's to be expected ya know.

it's not karma, it's old age. my car is 13 years old and just a few months i replaced the ORIGINAL alternator! power steering is bound to go sooner or later. it's no problem, a little expensive($800 to do it myself), but no problem to fix it all.
