Ok Im hooking up the Lc1 I got for liz awhile ago. Yes we are finally doing it.
I bought it used.
So we got the hole drilled and then had a local shop(Harney's Service center of Littlestown) weld on the bung.

Now the time to plug in the plug with the harness. And I have a couple questions for you.

Did it come with this box?

If not why do I need this box?

How do I hook this box up? Is it straight to battery with a ground?
Cause that's what it looks like.

Sensor plug end and Laptop Plug end

Notice wires? See the red button? Can anyone help me with this?

It appears you dont have the gauge?

You need to get the gauge so you can see what the Wideband sensor is picking up.

The LC-1 just uses any of the gauge, where the LM-1 uses the big box with the display on it.

Tell you the truth dude, i dont know what that little ghetto home made box thing is.

Check out the following link for the gauges.

This may help a little if you don't already have it, but to me it looks like the box is simply a toggle switch so that the unit isn't always on. The button on the side could just be a reset switch to prevent any overloads - but I don't even know what it's for lol so I could be totally off base haha.

Ok so I just read that if the sensor isn't being powered that it should be removed from the exhaust....

I am thinking to just use a gauge instead of using the laptop. It says it will quickly damage an Unpowered sensor. grrrr I am learning by the minute that everything isn't always what it seems.

Anyone have a used A/F wideband gauge i can have? I also need the CAL Button and LED P/N 3773... I think!! HAHA I dont want to ruin this sensor, but I also do not want to remove it.... SO maybe we won't drive it until we have it fixed....considering its acting up again... I need new plugs I guess!!

Anyone with info on:

Iridium NGK or better plugs
LED button P/N 3773
A/F gauge....Steering mount

Man, its easy as pie to take it out. just a 22 or 24mm wrench and out it comes, then find a big bolt and plug the hole in the exhaust.

Not as easy when you have the plug part fished through the body into the dash....

I see it say to mount the lc-1 controller outside under the car :crap: why? so it can get ruined? Im slow on this so no flaming to bad HAHA.... My first wideband!! woot
