Hello When you have a dsm and you want a more sufficient turbo, what should I keep in mind?

Very broad question. YOUR goals will determine what turbo best suits you. theres an old DSM link floating around the internet that i cannot find anymore that shows turbo comparisons and what power levels for what turbo.

What are your goals and we'll go from there? Street car? Drag car? Street/Drag car? The EVO3 16g is a very nice turbo that looks just like the 14b (BUT STAY AWAY FROM EBAY 16G's) I used to run a mitsu 20g and man was it nice, I ran a best of 13.0@108 on this turbo, it plenty of time left in it, but I blew it up and decided to go bigger rather than rebuild.

Well lets make it broader(is that a word?) HAHA

What about a DD/Drag/X car?

well an X car and a drag car dont really mix that well. With an X car, you want a smaller, faster spoolin turbo because you spend more time at lower RPM levels. in a drag car, you want a bigger turbo that will spool a little later, because youll spend the whole time above 4k RPMS...

Whenever i decide what turbo to pair to what engine, i just read the compressor maps and plot the motor on the compressor map. other than experience, a computer program that plots your engine on the compressor map is the only way i know that will help you decide on a turbo.

when in doubt, buy a turbo that is two sizes bigger than what you think you need. and Always, buy a dual ball bearing, oil and water cooler turbo. Preferably a garrett turbo www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/

1. He with the bigger turbo always wins.

2. you can never make too much boost. www.shadetreespeedshop.clvr.tv/too-much-boost/
