Ok Joe and I realized both of our Controller and boost gauge are hooked up differently. We want to know which is correct, is both correct, or is someone running their engine into the ground with false readings.

Here is a picture of Joe's motor with my art work on it.

1. Is where the boost gauge line is coming out of the fire wall. He used a thicker/wider vac line than mine. Does that matter? His is almost double the diameter than mine.

2, 3, and 4. Is where the boost gauge line goes into the intake manifold(right side its circled), then down to a "T" Fitting, then into the top of the BOV, and from the other side of the "T" fitting it goes into the bottom nipple of the MBC(not shown)

Number 2.

5. Is where "MY" boost gauge line goes into a "T" fitting, then into that gold solenoid, then into the intake manifold(left side, circled). And that's it.

Number 5.

Number's 2 and 5.

6. Is not shown, but its my MBC. I have the side nipple going into the Wastgate and the bottom nipple going into the black outlet pipe off the turbo.( This is how Hallman told me to do it.)

How come Joe's is setup so much differently? Who is running the right boost? LOL

I wish I could help, but I forgot how it hooks up to stock stuff, not to mention evo's. But I can tell you this much in relation to my car.

My boost guage is connected via a T on a vac line running from the BOV to the intake manifold.

The boost controller is hooked up from the outliet on the turbo, going in under the BC, then the outlet of the BC goes straight to the wastegate via a hose. I cant get any simpler lol

ok so we can remove the line running from the BOV to the MBC?

Yes. The line running to the MBC should be right off the turbo or on the lower intercooler pipe so there is no pressure drop going to the MBC, since the pressure drops after the intercooler

Apexi and Greddy say to get the vacuum/boost source by T'ing into the Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum line. In reality you can have it come off any vacuum line from the intake manifold. Just be sure your not pulling too much vacuum off the other source that your T'ed into. BOV would be a worry to me since that relies heavy on using vacuum and boost to hold shut and not leak. If for some reason you get a leak at the T you can have problems with the BOV opening or staying closed. I have mine T'ed in to the FPR line. Never had any issues.
