It literally took me about 30 seconds of looking at the choices to figure it out. Another 5 or so minutes to make this post.

10 - 1 - 9 = 9
11 - 1 - 1 = 9
12 - 1 - 2 = 9
13 - 1 - 3 = 9
14 - 1 - 4 = 9
27 - 2 - 7 = 18
32 - 3 - 2 = 27

Any number you pick, after doing the subtraction, the answer will be.

The switch the gifts with the corresponding numbers. For example the numbers 9 and 18 will ALWAYS have the correct gift. It may be a different gift each time, but even if you pick a higher number like 35 - 3 - 5 = 27 the number 27 will have the same gift as numbers 9 and 18.
