Bored at work so I decided to do a rendering of a paint idea for the 48 Ford. Let me know what you think...
BTW the picture was taken at an angle to the bottom looks bigger.

I think this is a great basic start for paint. I do want to have it 'chop topped' but I didn't add that in the rendering. Plus with the back following the body line and making the hatch black it gives me a nice canvas to do some airbrushing. I was thinking a mural of two old cars lined up on the road like they are going to race. I'll add another pic of what I'm thinking later.
