Gas gauge dipping out!

Ok what would make my gas gauge dip down to empty and the rise back up? Im pretty sure this isnt supposed to be lol
Any fixes for it? Im not even sure its reading correctly lol

it will sink all the way to empty when stopping or going around a fast curve. Then rise back up when stopped or going straight with no hills.

Also is there gas light on these cars? I have a 1993 civic coupe DEX...DX and EX morphed lol ;)

That phenomenon is most referred to the "Honda Half tank". The float gauge in the gas tank is reading everything correctly if that happens. Since there is no baffle in the gas tank, the gas just swishes around. Taking off at a light, or around a sharp turn (usually a right hand turn - like entering/exiting a highway) will allow this to happen.

I have owned 3 Civics, and 4 Hondas (one being an Accord), never saw trhe gas light come on once on any of the cars. Just recently, I filled the tank up 11.2 gallons. the car only has a 11.9 gal. tank! No gas light. I am tempted to allow the car to just run out of gas, but I not sure if I feel like running out of gas and having to get to the shoulder. Knowing my luck, it will happen when just sitting in traffic.

FYI Ive never owned a civic either....

My civic was too hardcore and showed the correct gas all the time. If it didnt it knew I would kick its fucking coilovers.
