Has anyone had any issues with lowering springs from ebay? Rusting? Breaking?

Whats the common amount that people lower their civics? I dont want to low, but I don't like my wheel gap...

I got my Tein Springs from ebay. Both for me Eclipse/Evo. No problems. Not sure what most civic run though. My neighbor is running Koni Shocks with Slip on Coilovers (Godspeed ) i think they are like $300 on ebay

There are some ebay coils that are like $99. But the ride is very rough/bouncy. Or if you want to go the cheap route. You can Cut your springs abit. but do be advised, it will change your spring rate, and may not be an even cut on all 4 corners (height). There are some pro drifting 240 that have cut springs. But this must be done correctly. To much and you have to buy new everything (Springs, Shocks) To little and your really cutting for nothing lol.
Can heat them up and compress them, but Makes for a HORRIBLE RIDE!!!

Haven't bought suspension parts from ebay but I'd be very careful. I've heard that some ebay stores sell fake suspension parts, like Teins etc.

If owned a honda there's a few brands I'd go with, for spring.Three where mentioned
H&R
Tein
Eibach prokits are very popular for track/street
But Don't forget about

Skunk2
Tanabe

^^ I'd choose one these for Lowering springs.

Struts/shocks
either
koni yellows
Tokico HPs blues or Illuminas
on a tight budget Kyb AGX's

What are goals for your Civic, but I recommend buying Project Car magazine issues. There's alot of how to's, as starting point if i had a honda.

You did get a godd deal on your civic for a DD $400 thats dirt cheap. I actually found one but a hatchback for $500 had 200k plus on the odom, bad clutch body in decent shape. Darn, thing sold on my local craigslist within 5 hours.
