I thought this might be a nice thread to have. I'm not really sure how many of you are really into photography, but I'm getting there - I just need to learn more about my camera.

I've got a Sony Cyber Shot 5.1 Mega Pixel. My parents also have a REALLY old Canon point-and-shoot, but I'd like to learn a few more things about photography before I start messing with that.

Please share anything that you feel helps your pictures turn out better. :)

Also, please include if, and how much, you tweak them once on the computer.

Well the best time to shoot is late afternoon 5-7pm just right before the sun starts to go down, to on cars try not to use the flash so much, unless you have a flash defuser, also never just take a pic of the car or object, atleast have one other object in photo to even it out, The photos I toke have not been touched up and as I look at them I think more that they dont need it.

Do you have any tips about getting better lighting?? That's usually my biggest problem.

Yeah what I said above......If you are shooting at night find a way to bounce the flash off a wall or an object instead of the object you are shooting

Okay, cool. It seems like I'm getting a decent amount of light, but after using the Quick Fix feature on Jasc, it just comes out better.
