well, i don't own them both. i just have my evo ix.

i did get to test drive the X not too long ago, and don't really like it.

don't get me wrong, it's not a bad car. it's a comfortable ride, the handling is impressive, but the power feels anemic, and the shifter sucks, and is hard to find gears in. feels kind of limp and flabby.

my major problem with it though, is that it is just not what i consider an evo. it's been diluted and doesn't feel nearly as purposeful as the VIII or the IX.

same way they destroyed the eclipse with the 3g eclipse they just destroyed the evo :(

ooh, i don't know about comparing it to the 3g eclipse. that is pretty harsh right there.

maybe if they had traded the turbo 4cyl for a N/A 6cyl and made if FWD i would agree with that. haha.

I dunno I thought the X was garbage at first...then I drove it and liked it...Liked it not loved it....then I thought the 7, 8, 9, dominated the X with power and mods friendlyness, then I got the new "Turbo" mag and saw the 350 HP evo X lol and went back to thinking I could do something with it........back and forth back and forth haha

well, i have no doubts it will be mod friendly, mitsu is always good for that. i just hope that it comes alive the same way the ct9a does. kind of an abstract thing to describe, but our cars really have a personality.

I have a friend with a X he has buschur everything making about 320whp.. I walk all over him not just cause i have more hp.. but handleing etc etc etc...
