I like Megan but i haven't heard anything good about the Megan tubular exhaust mani. A ported and jet coated stocker outflows and outperforms hands down.

+1 for ported stock mani! it is thouroghly designed for that turbo! with some porting the flow characteristics are off the chizzan!

I would have to say its a matter of opinion.....I would not say its a huge difference....I would go with the stock look

I would not say its a huge difference.
I beg to differ. A port and jet coated stocker will outperform the Megan and outlast the Megan header, indefinitely.

Agreed 100% that it will last longer....its cast iron, coated, and ported. He was asking about the "performance" of it. If you were to dynoed a tube header and then dynoed the stocker, i don't believe you would see a huge difference in power gain or lose. But again I would have to agreed that the stocker ported, coated, and hidden by a heat shield;) would be a night time story.....goodnight! Besides Megan have mixed reviews from people saying cracks...and doesn't crack.

keep in mind its a lot of personal preference.
i'd personally talk to some of the well known shops... aka ams or buschur or ets and see what there opinion is. just because people will have a lot to say (which is good and bad) but the guys at the shops will know best (in my opinion)
personally i don't know, but still thought i'd put my 2 cents.

typically speaking you are going to get near the same performance out of a ported stock or stock style manifold that you would out of a tubular, and you won't have to worry about it cracking.
dante, if you're interested i have a muse motorsports manifold laying around that i am too lazy to install. all it needs is a little porting and you're good to go. i got it pretty cheap, so i will let it go pretty cheap if you want it.

Ok Pm me what you want for it...I was looking to trade the Megan for a stocker whether it was ported or not and worry about coating it later.......

Hey Justin does the way that mani sits now, is it the same performance as the megan ? You the on you have for me?

that's really tough to say man, i couldn't tell you for sure unless we did a back to back dyno run with them or something.
i think you will definitely see an improvement with mine, even without additional porting, and then you don't have to worry about it cracking at the weld seams, since it is a cast mani.
but i am not sure how it would compare to the megan in performance.

oh ok cool I posted my mani on evom, we'll see what it sells for.........can I see a whoole picture of it instead of the holes? does it have heat shield mount holes? do you have heat shields for it?
MondoBongo

yes, it has the holes for the heat shield, i don't have a shield for it, unless i can dig up my stocker somewhere somewhere in my basement, but nothing fancy.
i will snap a few pics later.

i may still have my stock heat shield buried somewhere in the basement, but i'm not sure.
buschur and a couple other companies sell some decently priced polished ones though.
